Suspicions...Excerpts From "The Cirrus Project" (Chapter 1)

As Bert free wheeled down the other side of the hill, he started to cycle past the farm owned by Peter Grove. Strange bloke, he thought to himself. Groves never mixed with any of the local farmers and was fiercely protective of his land to the point of landing himself in trouble with the locals, ramblers, dog walkers and just about anyone else who dared trespass on his land. His 3 sons were no better and had been interviewed a number of times by the police for their heavy handed techniques of ejecting people from their land. The odd thing was that they were never prosecuted and seemed to immune from the law...what hold did they have over the police he wondered...
